ABOUT

DANNI

Danni Juhl is a writer, director, and editor living in New York City.

Although she grew up in rural Wisconsin, her real hometown was the internet, having come of age during the early days of the web.

She first picked up her Dad’s camcorder as a child and fell in love with filmmaking while self-producing her own online web show.

Danni is now a graduate of NYU Tisch School of the Arts Film & Television Production Program. Her short narrative thesis film By Grace premiered at the First Run Film Festival in early 2020.

In the summer of 2022, Danni developed and pitched her feature film Daysleeper with Picturestart and Ghetto Film School as part of their Discover Your Voice Fellowship, winning First Prize.

She has edited visual projects for the likes of Givenchy, Who What Wear, Betches, Republic Records, and more.

Danni adores stories in every form they take, but is particularly inspired by the way art has transformed during the internet age, and seeks to innovate new tech-inspired methods for modern artistic success.

Her simple joys include typewriters, the smell of old books, crossword puzzles, playing soccer, and browsing the catacombs of Wikipedia.
